The short version
- We use only the cookies that the site needs to work, such as the one that keeps you signed in.
- We do not use advertising, tracking or analytics cookies.
- You can block cookies in your browser, but you will not be able to sign in.
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies Mireon uses, why, and how you can control them. It should be read with our Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies, such as local storage, do the same job. Some are essential to make a site work, others measure use or show advertising.
2. What we use
| Name | Type | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
| Session cookie (its name begins with "smm") | Essential cookie, first party | Recognises your browser while you use the site so you can stay signed in. It also holds the security token that protects forms against forged requests, and short messages such as "order placed" | Until you close the browser |
| cookie-notice | Essential, browser local storage | Remembers that you dismissed the cookie notice so we do not show it again | Until you clear your browser data |
The session cookie is marked HttpOnly (scripts cannot read it), SameSite (it is not sent with most cross-site requests) and Secure when you use HTTPS.
3. What we do not use
We do not use advertising cookies, social media tracking pixels, cross-site tracking, or third-party analytics cookies. Because the cookies we use are strictly necessary to provide the service you asked for, many laws do not require consent for them, and this is why the notice on the site only informs you.
4. Third parties
- Payment providers. When you pay on another company's page, for example Paystack, that page may set its own cookies. We do not control them. Please see the provider's own policy.
- Web fonts. Our pages may load typefaces from Google Fonts. Fonts are not cookies, but your browser connects to the font provider, which receives your IP address and browser details. The site owner can turn this off, and the pages then use system fonts.
5. How to control cookies
Most browsers let you see, block or delete cookies in their settings. If you block the session cookie you will not be able to sign in or place orders, though you can still read public pages. Deleting cookies signs you out. Clearing local storage will show the cookie notice again.
6. Changes
If we change the cookies we use, we will update this page and the date at the top. Questions: admin@mireon.xyz.
